KIP PETERSON WINS SWEATER #32

Kip Peterson played a nearly flawless round on Monday at Seville CC and fought off a spirited effort by "Always in the Money" Dave Berliner to lock up his 3rd Yellow Sweater.

Sophomore Dave started the day four back and had to give Kipper one shot. Dave picked up three on the front nine and took the lead on #10, but Kipper made three birdies over his final eight holes to shoot 75. The shot that won the tournament was Kipper's laser 9 iron to 6 inches on the infamous Par 3 #17 island green. Dave hung in tough and finished with a 75. He tied for second with "H"-chee.

Kris Madsen played his best Sweater in years, shooting a final round 84. The Colonel's effort for a "C"-peat fell short, but a final round 80 moved him into solo fourth (14 shots back).

After a furious start - four time champion Fritzie faded to a fifth place finish. The Tin Man continued his streak of staying out of the AZ Drone Group with a solid 6th overall. JP was unremarkable at 7th. Woodrow received his highest handicap ever, and brought back the echos with a sizzling 75 at Gold Mountain. A late night on Friday doomed him to 8th.

There was no question that the 2010 AZ Drones were Drones. Juan, Tommy and Cuts finished well back of the second group. Kevin was forced to WD due to an ailing back - saving Cuts from King Drone purgatory.
